Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 29, 2026
Urlbeo is operated by Kevin Nimi, an individual based in Quebec, Canada. This Privacy Policy explains how Urlbeo collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information when you use the mobile application, website, public profile pages, and related services.
If you do not agree with this Policy, please do not use Urlbeo.
1. Information we collect
Account information
When you create an account, we collect your email address, username, and authentication-related identifiers supplied by Clerk. Authentication is provided by Clerk. Your password is handled by Clerk and is not stored in Urlbeo's own database.
Profile information
You may provide a display name, biography, profile picture, and links. Your username, display name, biography, profile picture, and active link titles and URLs are public. Inactive links are not displayed on your public profile.
Technical and support information
Urlbeo and its providers may process limited technical information needed to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the service. This can include IP addresses, device and browser information, request timestamps, server logs, crash reports, and performance data.
If you contact us, request account deletion, or report a profile, we collect the information in your message and the information needed to respond.
Urlbeo does not currently use advertising trackers or behavioural advertising analytics.
2. How we use information
We use personal information to:
- create, authenticate, and manage your account;
- create and display your public Urlbeo profile;
- store, organize, and publish your active links;
- provide support and process reports or deletion requests;
- maintain security, reliability, and performance;
- diagnose errors and prevent fraud or misuse;
- comply with applicable legal obligations.
We do not sell personal information.
3. Public profiles and search engines
Urlbeo profiles are public. Anyone who knows or receives your profile URL can access the public information and active links on that profile.
Profiles are not intended to be indexed by search engines by default. However, a profile that is not indexed is still public. Search engine settings are not access control, and search engines ultimately control how and when their indexes are updated.
Do not publish information that you do not want others to see, copy, or share.
4. Service providers
We use the following providers to operate Urlbeo:
- Clerk for account authentication;
- Heroku for backend hosting;
- Neon for database hosting;
- Cloudflare R2 for profile picture storage;
- Vercel for website hosting;
- Sentry for error and crash monitoring;
- New Relic for backend performance monitoring.
These providers may process information outside your country. Personal information may therefore be subject to the laws of the jurisdictions where it is processed.
5. Cookies and similar technologies
The public website does not currently use advertising or analytics cookies. Urlbeo and its authentication provider may use technologies strictly necessary for security, authentication, session management, and operation of the service.
If optional analytics, advertising, or other non-essential cookies are introduced, this Policy and the consent experience will be updated where required.
6. Legal bases
Depending on where you live, we process information with your consent, to provide the service you request, for legitimate interests such as security and troubleshooting, or to comply with legal obligations.
7. Retention
- Account and profile information is kept while active.
- Verified deletion requests are processed within 30 days.
- Residual protected backup copies may remain for up to 90 additional days.
- Security and diagnostic logs may be kept for up to 12 months.
- Support messages and reports may be kept for up to 24 months after the matter is closed.
Information may be kept longer where required by law or reasonably necessary to investigate abuse, prevent fraud, or establish or defend legal claims.
8. Account deletion
You can permanently delete your account in the Urlbeo app by opening Settings → Danger zone → Delete account. Before deletion is confirmed, the app explains that the action is permanent, your public profile will no longer be accessible, all links and profile data will be removed, and you will be signed out immediately.
If you cannot access the app, you may also email support@urlbeo.com from the email address associated with your account. We may verify that you control the account before completing an email request. Deleting the mobile application does not delete your account. See the Delete Account page for instructions.
9. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may request access, correction, deletion, withdrawal of consent, information about how your data is used, restriction or objection to certain processing, or a portable copy of certain information.
Contact support@urlbeo.com. Quebec residents may also contact the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec.
10. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards intended to protect personal information. No online service can guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure.
11. Children
Urlbeo is not intended for children under 13. We do not intentionally collect their personal information. If we learn that a child under 13 provided personal information, we may suspend the account and take reasonable steps to delete it.
12. External links
Public profiles may contain third-party links. Urlbeo does not control those services and is not responsible for their privacy practices.
13. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy as Urlbeo evolves or legal requirements change. We will update the date above and provide additional notice when required.
14. Contact and person responsible for privacy
Kevin Nimi is responsible for the protection of personal information at Urlbeo.
